The MyPlayer mode introduces eight fighting styles and a system of character progression and upgrades, and the M圜areer mode offers a story that lets gamers roam the backstage area freely, interact with other wrestlers and general managers, and develop their own stories. The Creation Suite has been improved to offer more options when designing custom wrestlers, arenas, and highlight packages, while the Create-A-Match feature returns to let players set rules for a match and then export them to the Play Now or Universe modes. The largest roster in series history includes more than 30 female competitors and over 200 playable characters, when factoring in alternate versions of superstars, and as many as eight wrestlers can hit the ring at once.
Wrestling fans can hit the ring with more than 170 characters, gameplay tweaks, and updated modes in WWE 2K18.
